HinsdaleLuxuryHomes.com (the “site”) is operated by Blue Fence Real Estate, Inc. (“Blue Fence,” “we,” “us” or “our”), an Illinois real estate brokerage. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Please read it together with our Terms of Use and Cookie Policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. The site’s forms ask only for what we need to respond to you:

• Contact, seller consultation and home valuation forms: your name and email address, plus, if you choose to include them, your phone number, timeline, property address and a message.
• Private Client invitation requests: your name, email address, phone number, whether you’re interested in buying, selling or both, and your timing, plus, if you choose, a property address or the neighborhoods you’re considering and any notes you’d like to add.
• Private showing requests on property pages: your name, email address and phone number, an optional message, and the property you’re asking about.

Please don’t send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or financial documents through the site’s forms.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the site receives standard technical information from your browser when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page that referred you and the pages you view. Our hosting provider receives this information when it delivers pages to you. We also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the site, such as the pages viewed, how long visits last, how visitors arrived and their approximate location based on IP address. Our Cookie Policy explains this in more detail.

Some files on the site load directly from other providers: the site’s fonts come from Google Fonts, and some photographs are served by Unsplash and by the platform that hosts our property search. When your browser requests those files, the provider receives your IP address and basic browser information.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your inquiry and provide the real estate services you ask for, such as a consultation, a home valuation, a private showing or a review of your Private Client invitation request;
• contact you by phone, text message or email about your request and related real estate matters;
• keep records of our communications and client relationships;
• understand how the site is used so we can maintain and improve it;
• protect the site and our forms against spam, fraud and misuse; and
• comply with our legal, regulatory and licensing obligations.

How we share information

When you submit a form, your submission is sent by email to the Blue Fence team and may be entered into our customer relationship management (CRM) system so we can follow up and keep track of our conversations with you. Beyond that, we share personal information only as described below.

• Service providers. Companies that help us run the site and our business, including our website hosting and form-processing provider (Netlify), our email provider, our CRM provider and Google Analytics. These providers process information to deliver their services to us.
• Blue Fence agents and cooperating professionals. Blue Fence agents, staff and affiliated offices who need the information to help you and, only as needed to provide a service you’ve asked for, other professionals involved in your real estate matter, such as a cooperating broker, lender, attorney, appraiser, inspector or title company.
• Legal requirements. When we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, to respond to a request from a government or regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Blue Fence, our clients or others.

Phone, text and email communications

Every form on the site has a short consent statement under the submit button. By submitting a form, you agree that Blue Fence Real Estate may contact you by phone, text message or email about your inquiry and related real estate services, including by automated means. Your consent isn’t a condition of any purchase or service, and message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any text message from us to stop receiving texts, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, tell your agent, or email privateclient@bluefence.com. Opting out of marketing messages won’t stop messages about a transaction or request you’re actively working on with us.

We don’t sell personal information

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining records of our client relationships and transactions, and for as long as the law requires, including real estate record-keeping rules. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it. Google Analytics data is kept according to the data retention setting on our Google Analytics account.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and the site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, though, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The site is intended for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us at privateclient@bluefence.com and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we have about you and provide a copy;
• correct information that’s inaccurate or incomplete; or
• delete your personal information.

To make a request, email privateclient@bluefence.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. We may keep information that the law requires us to keep, or that we need to complete a transaction, resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements. You can also limit analytics through your browser settings or Google’s opt-out add-on, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Third-party websites

The site links to other websites, including our property search on bluefence.com, LuxuryHom.com, AstonishingHomes.com and other real estate sites. This policy doesn’t cover those sites. Their own privacy policies and terms apply when you use them. Our property search runs on a third-party real estate platform, and information you enter there, for example when you register or save a search, is handled under the privacy policy posted on that site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top. Changes take effect when they’re posted.
